Kristie is survived by her mother Robyn, and her special father, Mike Schoenborn, Sr., her father, Rex Basswood, her sisters Kellie, Kaycie (Aaron), her niece Jade Neadeau, special sister, Kendra Clark, maternal grandparents Larry and Jo Dudley, paternal grandmother Verna Basswood, uncles Bob (RandiJo) Dudley, Bruce Johnson, Jerry Stately, aunt Kathi (Raymond) Dudley and numerous cousins. She was especially close with her big sisters Kellie and Kaycie, they were always together shopping, hanging out or just being there for one another. Kristie represented the Red Lake Elementary School, as the school’s princess, an accomplishment her and her family were very proud of.

She enjoyed going to powwows, dancing and singing at powwows. Kristie was very outgoing she loved being with her friends and spending time with her family. She also enjoyed helping her mom, grandparents and other family, whenever asked. Kristie enjoyed babysitting and caring for her cousins, especially Rosalina, Jade, Dion, and Jesslyn. She was employed by 7 Clans Casino and Hotel, Thief River Falls as a Lifeguard from February thru May 2015. Kristie grew up in Redby, and she was educated in Red Lake. She was born on Septemin Bemidji MN, the daughter of Robyn Dudley and Rex Basswood. Kristie Rose Basswood, 18, began her journey to the spirit world on Friday, November 13th 2015.
